Tips for gathering evidence to demonstrate your skills

The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

RIIPBP202D - Conduct air cleaning activities

What evidence can you provide to prove your understanding of each of the following citeria?

Plan and prepare for air cleaning operations

  1. Access, interpret and apply air cleaning compliance documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
  2. Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
  3. Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the activity.
  4. Obtain and interpret emergency procedures, and be prepared for fire/accident/emergency.
  5. Select, and check for faults, equipment/tools for work activities. Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues.
  6. Select approved dust suppression and extraction methods and ensure area is well ventilated before entry.
